but not immediately as me and taylor are headed up to Jackson Hole Wyoming for the conference weekend! {time to get away from this HEAT for a few days!!}

Drops of Jupiter

Fact: Last night Jupiter was the closest it has been to the earth in 50 years.

Fact: I have the most charming husband in the world!

My Husband, Samuel Taylor Robinson, is the sweetest man in the world {not to mention the MANLIEST} ... Because Jupiter was so close he got a hold of a telescope and we spent the evening checking out Jupiter's moons {you could see all four!!} along with Neptune and Uranus.

I had never looked at the sky through a telescope {a good one in any case} so needless to say I was impressed! I'm so grateful a have such a thoughtful creative husband who surprises me with something new everyday! Thanks baby for the fun roof date last night!

Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica

So me and Taylor have a guilty pleasure that I can't help confess.

Half way through August, while perusing HULU desktop {we got rid of cable/dish} we came across a lovely little show called Caprica, and soon discovered it was a sort of prequel {though made after I believe} to... 

nerdy right?

 WRONG. AMAZING

We immediately located all four season's and began watching, it was LOVE at first viewing!!

Let me just say, that the majority of the time Mrs. President is a close-minded idiot racist {yes, Cylon's are a race, and yes she was SO anti-Cylon}, Gaius Baltar REALLY need to be humbled, Helo and Athena are AWESOME {and Boomer sucks}, and Starbuck {Kara Thrace} never should have married Sam, she was an idiot and should have just admitted that she wanted to be with Lee from the beginning. Also Six is so pretty with long hair but look stupid with short platinum, and why did they never show who Daniel was? I wanted to know! oh, and how the heck did Kara know that song? It never explained how it was connected to the final five, or how her dad knew it in the beginning in order to teach her how to play it!!?? 

back to reality...{oh there goes gravity} I can't believe we finished it so quickly! Now we have to find a new show! {good thing Castle started again, we're all caught up on that one too, now they just need to make more Fireflys...yes we love science fiction}

Other than the end of Battlestar season 4, the last few weeks have been pretty uneventful...aside from ice blocking with Emily and Paul, and wearing my brain out with homework...

In conclusion, I would like to extend a hand of friendship to Dwight Shrute, I used to think him a complete idiot {funny, but ridiculous to the point of absurdity}, I now realize he was at least right with one thing..If you don't watch Battlestar Galactica then you ARE in fact an idiot.

Not Enough Hours in the Day

How true is that! Time flies...It's Tuesday, it still feels like Monday morning...and Monday morning still felt like last Tuesday. I seriously need more, you guessed it. TIME. 

the ability to focus during that time would be appreciated as well.

The last week and half has been a BLUR.

Friday afternoon I picked up this lucky charm at a boutique with Stephanie

Wednesday Evening I was stung by one of these little demon creatures walking into our condo

and just so every one knows...it SUCKED/SUCKS, my leg up to my knee is STILL numb and tingly, and for the whole day and a half after being stung my leg was on FIRE!! and my toe where I was stung is still red and swollen and hurts like HE{double hockey sticks}-cursed creature, why do you exist!?!?! what good do you do???? NONE

Monday Evening I came home from my weekend getaway to flowers and dinner from my wonderful husband {we missed each other, it was the longest time we've been away from each other since we got hitched}

unfortunately we didn't take a whole lot of pictures, we were too busy having fun!! We drove to Simi Valley Friday and stayed the night with my uncle Dave and his wife Andrea, it was great to see family!! Saturday was my first experience at Six Flags and it was SO awesome! lines weren't too bad, it was ONLY 101 degrees outside, and I got to spend all day with my bestest friend, who luckily isn't scared of rides {just heights}...after six flags on Saturday we drove to San Clemente and stayed with Taylor's sister Annie and her husband Pat and their boys Davis and Noah. WE LOVE THE RAILS!! Taylor's other sister Cari and her husband Nate and their kids Grace, Ben, and Annie just moved to New Port and came over for Sunday dinner. We are so excited for Cari's #4 {BOY #2} expected THURSDAY!! WE LOVE THE OWENS' TOO!!

Overall a GREAT weekend spent with GREAT people!! The one and ONLY downside to my little adventure was my husband wasn't there...I know it sounds a tiny itty bit pathetic on my part...but I find it extremely difficult to sleep when I'm not next to Taylor, I missed him TERRIBLY. Fortunately little Davis is a little inventor just like his uncle and filled my scifi/scientific gap I was away from my nerdy wonderful husband.

this semester is going to KICK my butt! between the homework, projects, studying, and kick-boxing {starting next week again, been over a year now!} my butt will LITERALLY be sore, and probably {because of the kick-boxing} look fantastic as well!

School started last week and just so everyone knows...I LOVE IT! I love signing, I love deaf culture, I love learning, and I absolutely LOVE that I'm finally done with pointless generals and entirely in program classes! I'm so much more motivated to attend school and do my work when I know it actually will get me where I want to be! 

I feel much better with my signing this semester, and I think I owe a lot of that to church! no joke! our ward overlaps with the deaf branch in Phoenix, and I got called to interpret for the kids in primary! It'd different, and interpreting is not as easy as one might think {especially when you don't know the signs for "faith" or "prophet", they don't exactly go over those in school} it involves listening to a sentence switching the structure and language entirely and trying to convey it to the recipient before the next sentence starts! {woof!!} my poor little brain! but its great practice and I've got a leg up on all those in my program who haven't signed all summer! go me!

Like I said I'm starting up kick-boxing this next week! I've been looking for a place that too legit to quit, and hadn't had any luck till I found this place!

I am soooo excited to get going and get back in tip top shape! It has been far too long since I have participated in the punching kicking cardio splendidness that is the art of kick-boxing! 

*more exciting news {at least for me} is my fri-mon soCal get away with my bestest friend in the whole entire world

STEPHANIE HARTMAN!!

We're planning on heading to cali fri, staying the night at my aunt and uncle's, six flags Saturday, then down to San Clemente to chill on the beach and see the Rail's and Owen's! I'm so excited to get out of PHX and spend some quality time with my bestie!!!! I'll be sure to post tons of fun pictures when we get back! for now..
