Taylor the Lion Tamer

This post is half a shrine to my incredibly good looking husband, and half prequel to our Safari post. Taylor was in South Africa for a week before I joined him. He was there for his MBA Global Project for school. Before they had to present to their client they toured Johannesburg, and one of their trips was to the Lion Park outside of the city. Apparently you have to be kind of aggressive with the lion cubs, if you try and pet them gently they nip at you (and their nip is probably equivalent to a nip from a rabid pit bull with mad cow disease). They had a number of other trips including reading to children at a school in Soweto, touring a gold mine, visiting the Mandela House and the Apartheid Museum, and eating local food. He had a good time, but he dearly missed his beautiful, amazing, talented wife (his words not mine...just kidding, totally my words, but he did say he missed me!).

So I mentioned above that Taylor's group read to kids at a school in Soweto, apparently even though there are white South Africans, these boys were OBSESSED with Taylor's red hair, he said they were constantly petting it! They really just wanted to sing and be on the camera more than read, but they had a great time none the less.

These dudes above were the clients for the project Taylor was working on. The goal was to turn an old shuttered building in downtown Joberg into a hotel. Taylor had a good time chatting with Martin (white hair) and Yusuf (bearded fellow) about cars over dinner, it seems its pretty universal no matter what you're talking about (real estate for example), if you're a car guy the topic always changes over fairly quickly!
